Experimentation is encouraged

On February 23th our club will be the playground of the ‘He.She.They.’ manifestation. An international non-prejudicial, inclusive and diverse events, lifestyle and consultancy collective at the cutting edge of the intersection of art, fashion and music.

Curious and want to know more? We asked some questions to the inspirators behind He.She.They. Read and be amazed!

So what is this manifestation about?
“Can you remember when dance music culture was all about breaking down barriers rather than building them? We can and we feel it’s time to return to those inclusive ideological roots. Let’s once again create memories and moments together with people we love and new people we meet in a collective experience.”

What is the ethos behind He.She.They?
“He.She.They. aims to create a place without prejudice for people to be people regardless of their age, race, sex, gender, ability, religious background or their sexual preference.”

How do you achieve this vision?
“This has been achieved by taking over iconic clubs around the world, such as Pacha, Watergate, Rex, Ministry of Sound, De Marktkantine (soon!) and more, and creating within them diverse and inclusive event programming – from DJs to performers to our hosts. To us safe does not mean sanitized; so we platform innovative talent and encourage both our partygoers and performers to be free to experiment and explore their own boundaires.”

What can we expect during the He.She.They club night at De Marktkantine?
“Let’s create a place without prejudice; where people can be people to create a world whereby people feel like they belong whilst at the same time still expressing their utmost individuality and creativity of their own characters no matter what their age, race, background or sexual preference may be. It’s as simple as He.She.They…

We want to encourage our Amsterdam audience to experiment with their look and enjoy the musical performances of Maya Jane Coles, Carlos Valdes and Samuel Deep. Let’s use the hashtag #experimentationisencouraged, so you can connect and share your stories with our global community.”
